Bach Rescue Remedy Calming Herbs

The Moose is teething. This is his 6th tooth. He handled the 1st five very well with very few complaints. But not this one. He woke up A LOT last night. A whole lot. I think I'm going to put an amber teething necklace on his birthday list because I really want to see if that helps. He usually sleeps 10-12 hours straight through. So at about 3:30 this morning I gave him some Rescue Remedy drops and realized I hadn't shared this trick with you. After I gave it to him, he went right to sleep. He's still asleep now and it's 9:00. I don't think I've ever seen him sleep past 7:30.

Here's an overview. This is their website if you want more info. I bought mine at Drug Emporium.

It's a mix of 5 flowering herbs. They are super calming. When I take it, it releases pressure in my temples that I didn't know was there. I have heard that people take this before meditation to help them focus (I don't meditate). I use this very sparingly, it's pretty potent. The Moose is 10 months old and has had it about a dozen times, maybe.

I originally bought this for The Moose's 1st plane ride. He was about 4 months old. On both flights (there and back), I gave him a couple drops when we got on the plane. He slept through take-off and landing.

That's how much I give him. It's hard to see, but the dropper has a turn at the end. I just fill that little space. It's just 2-3 drops. That's it.

It does have alcohol in it (brandy). They do make a kid's version that is alcohol-free if you don't want your babe to have the alcohol. I don't mind in this amount since he takes so little. I've never tried the alcohol-free. I wouldn't be surprised if the brandy helps calm him just that extra little bit. But I don't know.

I have heard that this is excellent for the terrible 2 & 3 temper tantrums. We haven't gotten there yet, but you bet your bottom dollar I'll try it!
