Homestead Farms

We went to Homestead Farms today to fill up our freezer with meat. Homestead is a farm in Keller with an awesome farm store. They sell their products and retail products from other farms. Here is their info:

During the holidays, my extended family all gets together at my mom's house in Georgia. And I always get to cook for everyone (I love it!). I believe in grass-fed & pasture raised meats so much that I take meat from Homestead with me from Texas to Georgia. I usually fly, but my dad is not a fan of planes so he drives. He takes an ice chest full of stuff for me. He also takes The Moose's raw goat's milk and frozen homemade baby food.

Homestead has pasture raised, grass-fed, & free range, sun soaking, bug eating chicken, beef, and pork. Some of it they raise, some of it is from other farms. We go every 3 or 4 months and load up! And we got a great haul today. We used to live closer to them and went monthly. Now we live about 30-45 minutes away, so we don't go as often.

Click here to find local farms near you!

They also have raw goat's milk, pesticide free  produce, raw local honey, spices, soap, granola, olive oils, coffee & other goodies.

They have several of these meat freezers loaded with lots of stuff.

Next time I may have to splurge and try this butter! I didn't get it today.

I did try this yummy drinkable yogurt! That's The Moose's hand trying to steal it from me.

Our haul!! We got ground beef, ground chicken, ground pork, pork sausage, chicken sausage, chicken breasts, a whole chicken, beef roast, pork roast, tamales, & peaches.
