Vinegar Fabric Softener

I clean everything with white vinegar (click this link to see how else I use it). I also use it as my fabric softener in my washing machine.

Using this as fabric softener was actually one of the very 1st natural switches I made a few years ago. Not sure why I zeroed in on this. Guess because it's an easy switch to make and it works very well.

NOTE on the dish soap: Detergents have been a pain in my rear. I have tried so many natural brands. I have made detergents using several different recipes (another note: I HATE borax; if it works for you, great. I just personally don't like it). I just can't find anything I'm happy with. Either it's expensive or just doesn't work (usually it's the later). I'm still working on getting my natural detergent on, for now, this will have to do.

I pour the vinegar straight into the fabric softener place. That's it. I don't dilute it. I have a front loading washer. But I also did this with my last machine (a very old top loader).
