Fried Green Tomato Po Boy

This was sooooo good! My mother-in-law made this, so I don't have the full recipe or pictures of the process. But it was so good that I have to share!


She got the green tomatoes at the farmer's market this morning. She breaded them in flour, then eggs & buttermilk, then cornmeal. She fried them in canola oil, about 3 minutes per side.



Also on the sandwich:

  • Bacon
  • Avocado
  • Remoulade Sauce (a quick remouladede from a mayo & ketchup mix)
  • Lettuce


This was the best sandwich I've had in awhile. I will definitely be making this myself soon!
