Homemade Baby Food

Just finished making another round of homemade baby food! I love making The Moose's food. I love knowing what is in the food I feed him. Everything is organic, full of healthy herbs & spices, and healthy fats (olive oil & coconut oil). See the full process here. I steam or roast everything needs to be cooked. I puree most things with my immersion blender (beets in the food processor because they make a mess). You can find my immersion blender here.

The top half of the picture below is all from a local health food store. The bottom picture is from the farmers market.
Here's what I made this round:

  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Apples
  • Avocados
  • Ginger (used in several of the fruit and veggies)
  • Spinach
  • Plums
  • Blueberries
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Broccoli
  • Blackberries (new for his this time)
  • Strawberries
  • Cherries
  • Peaches
  • Bell Peppers (new for him this time)
  • Green Beans
  • Green Peas
  • Raspberries (new for him this time)
  • Malabar Spinach (from Cardo's Farm Project)
  • Eggplant (from Earthwise Farms)
  • Beets (from Earthwise Farms)
  • Butternut Squash (from (From Denton's Backyard Farms)

I made 332 cubes! Each cube is about 1 oz. Last time I made 311 oz and it lasted about a month and a half.
