My All-Purpose Cleaner

I use white vinegar to clean pretty much anything. Vinegar is an acid (duh). And acid breaks down grease, mold, and bacteria. It's eco-friendly, natural, and safe. Many pests (ants, etc.) don't like vinegar, so cleaning your house with it helps keep them at bay (I also use diatomaceous earth).

I have a few spray bottles around the house with a mix of half vinegar and half water. I clean pretty much every surface with it. Glass, counters, sinks, tub, toilet, mopping, farm fresh eggs, everything.

The vinegar smell goes away as soon as it dries. I don't mind the vinegar smell, but even if you don't like it, remember, it's better than smelling all those chemicals of commercial cleaners.

It's also an excellent fabric softener! I use it in my washing machine. I pour it directly (no dilution) into the softener spot in the machine. That's it.

That's one of my spray bottles. I have them stashed all over the house.

I spray the whole house with vinegar. Doors, cabinets, everything.
