Picking Up Goat's Milk

The Moose & I picked up his goat's milk today. We pick up fresh, raw goat's milk every Tuesday at a goat farm in Aubrey. It's about a 45 minute round trip. But honestly, I would drive 5 hours and pick up his goat's milk if I needed to. It is that good. It has done so much for his health. It freezes amazingly. So if I didn't have a close farm, I would drive a long way, and pick up a freezer full.

The Moose loves seeing the goats. Today, they were all out in the field, eating grass, and hanging out in the shade.

Our goat lady (her name is Tracy), has a shed with a fridge and a freezer. She milks daily and puts the milk out for daily pickups. You can see my milk right there on the shelf. A lot of times, it's still warm from just being milked. Nice & fresh! And raw!

Here's the freezer. I keep at least a couple gallons in our freezer. Just in case we run out before it's time to pick up. I just thaw it in the fridge. Half gallons take about a day. Full gallons take a few days to thaw.

And here's the happy goats.
