The Moose's Supplements

I will share my routine soon. Here's The Moose's supplements. He is 10 months. He's had this routine for about 2 months. I buy everything at Drug Emporium.

 From left to right:

I'll breakdown his daily & weekly routine, and then tell you what each supplement does.

Daily in a morning bottle (just put directly into his goat's milk):
  • 1 spoonful cod liver oil
  • 1 spoonful aloe vera juice
  • 3/4 tsp probiotics
About twice a week in a serving of solid
  • a dab of elderberry syrup

Above: A little bit of elderberry syrup in a serving of his solid food. I do this about a couple times a week, really just when I think about it. I really need to go on an elderberry hunt and make my own syrup. One day. Elderberry is an actual berry packed full of all kinds of antioxidants and vitamins. Really, a lot of them. It is an excellent immune booster. It's great to fight allergies, the flu, common colds, and more. I will mix it in with my yogurt or take a little sip a couple times a week. It is really tasty!

Above: Aloe Vera Juice: The Moose gets 1 spoonful in his bottle a day. I take a big sip a couple times a day. Aloe vera juice is so good for you. It doesn't taste the best, but it's not horrible. It's great for hydration. Hydrating from the inside out is very important for your health and your skin. It's also full of antioxidants and vitamins. It is a natural anti inflammatory. It's good for digestion. This is a 24 oz. bottle (It's $7-8). The bottle says up to 8 oz. a day. But this lasts The Moose & I a full month. I don't drink as much as I possibly should.

Above: Cod Liver Oil: I LOVE this stuff. If I had to pick one thing on this list, it would be cod liver oil. The Moose gets 1 spoonful in a bottle daily. I take 2 spoonfuls a day, and then will sometimes steal another sip or 2 throughout the day. It is full of omegas, DHA, and lots of vitamins. I actually like the taste (I hear complaints from others about it). DHA is great for your brain and nervous system. It's great for your immune system and digestive system. It's also an anti-inflammatory. I can see a difference in my complexion when taking this. I'm a little extra glowy. This is a 16 oz. bottle and is about $30. It lasts me a month because I love it. If you took just a spoonful or two a day, it could easily last 2-3 months.

Above: Probiotics: The Moose gets 3/4 tsp. in a bottle. This is the over-simplified explanation. Your body has good bacteria and bad bacteria. As long as you have more good than bad, then you don't get sick. Probiotics are the good guys. They are also great for digestion. I take a pill form. You can get natural probiotics through raw fermented vegetables, something I plan on looking further into soon. The Moose was born with so many tummy problems, allergic to everything and threw up everything. Giving him raw goat's milk really helped. But giving him probiotics gave him the extra boost he needed. The probiotics helped clean up the mess all the meds he was on left and heal his belly. He's doing amazing!

Above: Cod liver oil, aloe juice, and probiotics in his bottle. Now just shake and feed.
