CSA and Farm Volunteer Shift

I had a volunteer shift at Cardo's Farm Project this morning. As always, I love getting out in the fresh air and getting my hands dirty! Today I weeded the carrot bed.

In my hand in the picture below is the carrot top. Everything else had to go. Those weeds are stealing all the nutrients that those precious baby carrots need.

I have taken that to work with me for lunch every day this week), braising greens, butternut squash, sunflower greens, radishes (there were more, I already ate some), and a handful of okra.
