After getting Moose out of his pj's, I oil pulled. It's always a great day when I can start with oil pulling, a great morning detox. See my post here. Find coconut oil on Amazon here.
Then I had my morning detox drink with apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper (I'm out of lemons today). Here's my post on this drink. Find Apple Cider Vinegar here on Amazon (it has to be raw and unfiltered!). Find cayenne pepper here on Amazon.
Then I made grain free banana nut muffins. Grain free, dairy free, sugar free, and yummy!
Moose loved them!
I cleaned the bathroom, which it desperately needed. Check out how I clean my bathtub with vinegar and baking soda here.
I also did some laundry with my new Eco Nuts detergent. I have only had this a few days. I will give a full review after I do more laundry to make sure I still like it next week. So far, it's been excellent! Find it on Amazon here. That little bottle I'm holding in the picture below is 120 loads in my he washer! Crazy!
Then we all (me, Ryan, & Moose) went to the farmers market and a local farm store. It was starting to rain, so the vendors at the market were packing up. But I got there in time to grab a bunch of butternut squash (butternut squash soup coming soon!), honey, and farm fresh eggs. Then we went to Earthwise Gardens to get some low temp pasteurized milk. Moose was born allergic to dairy and he's been on raw goat's milk. We've been slowly testing to see if he outgrew his dairy allergy. All looks good so far! Tomorrow we will give him a glass of cow milk and see what happens (not today because he is having a slumber party at his aunt's house. Would hate for her to deal with a reaction if it doesn't end well.....). If he does well with this milk, then I will buy raw milk from a dairy. It's about an hour from me, but raw milk freezes very well and maintains the health benefits (I will post more on raw milk soon). So I'll buy it in bulk and freeze it.
Ryan picked up some fresh bread this morning. So I had some buttered toast with farm fresh radishes from my CSA. This is my favorite way to eat radishes.
Tonight, the owner of the farm is getting married! I love weddings! She is having a small ceremony on the farm and then a reception after the ceremony at the farm. Ryan & I are going to the reception. What a great way to end what is turning out to be a very "natural" Saturday!
What natural / healthy things did you do today?
